Assurance at a glance
The Hypoguard Supreme test strip is a disposable plastic strip containing a chemically treated test area to
measure the amount of blood glucose in capillary blood. When a drop of blood is placed on the test strip area, a colour change occurs on the reverse side of the strip.
 The test principle is a glucose-oxidase/peroxidase reaction, specific for glucose.
The strips are:
- Non wipe system
- Multi-block colour chart
- Rapid Results
- Only 4µl of blood for accuracy

The measuring range has now been extended to 40 - 500 mg/dl, 2.2 - 27.7 mmol/l.
Haematocrit levels above 55% may give low blood glucose values and levels below 35% may give high blood glucose values.
The product is not suitable for use with neo-natal blood specimens.
How to use the Blood Glucose test strips for Visual Only readings
 There are three easy steps to using the Supreme strips :
1. Apply blood to the Supreme Test Strip
2. Wait for 60 seconds
3. Compare colour change with chart supplied.
 The colour change is easily seen by comparison with the
Hypoguard Colour Chart supplied with each pot of strips.
